A lot goes on behind the scene here at Scenic Script and we thought it would be kind of fun to share it with you. We live on a beautiful country lot in Cavan, Ontario, Canada - nestled in a forest of trees with a creek running through the back. Deer, fox, coyotes, raccoons, rabbits, wild turkeys and a variety of birds visit us. We call our little piece of heaven " Tiptoe ".

We can't really say we beg, borrow and steal but we certainly salvage, scour and repurpose !

We search out barn board, salvage it, haul it, sterilize it, rinse it, dry it, stack it and store it ! Whew !

A daunting task at times but that's the process. We use environmentally friendly soap and a power washer to sterilize the wood.

We frequently lose sight of the kitchen counter when it comes to washing and drying all the rusty bits and pieces we use in our creations. And there may be one floorboard in the dining area with a screw mark in it - compliments of " Sir Hootigan " (you can find him in our photo gallery).

Our workshop seems to constantly be in need of tidying but we have come to learn that this is a good thing

- it means we're busy !

It can be quite crowded at times also, due to the fact that our two resident gangsters, Bonnie and Clyde (our Great Danes), love nothing more than being right in the middle of it all and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Demolition - gettin' down and dirty !

Nature's laundry mat - sterilizing and drying the barn board.

Bonnie and Clyde - the gangsters who stole our hearts.

The counter's there somewhere !

With rust there's bound to be dust.
